It’s been awhile since we’ve communicated with you via newsletter, and we have a few big things to share with you that we’ve been working on in the background.
First of all, we’ve restructured our big annual Living the New Economy event format and timelines. We have decided to move the annual multi-day LNE Global Live event to the spring. We are very happy with this. It makes our planning cycle smoother, gives us opportunities to host bigger presenters, includes more developed content, and ultimately gives our participants (that’s you!) a better overall experience and education.
So! The multi-day LNE Global Live 2016 will happen in April (final dates TBA), and primarily be held at Sunset Labs on the upper harbour. Our full program for this event is almost complete – and we’ll be able to share it with you (and open up for registration) by November. More on that soon!
Shifting the larger gathering to April afforded us the opportunity to create something new and ongoing, a series called Re-skilling the Village, which we are very excited to deliver in partnership with the Royal BC Museum, OUR Ecovillage and Stream of Consciousness. This collaborative and groundbreaking (literally!) event series is an exciting new expression of our commitment to increase local independence and regenerative practices – and we think you’re going to love it. And seriously, with the help of local permaculturists, we’re going to break ground with you to show you how easy it is to plant a tree.
Thank you so much for your ongoing interest in new economy work, and we look forward to exploring and deepening these conversations – together.
